Tsunami Catnip is a small family-run business located in Agnew, Washington on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. We pride ourselves on providing premium quality catnip grown and harvested by hand. Unlike most catnip that is sold, Tsunami Catnip uses a high percentage of bud and blooms, which results in a higher potency that cats can’t resist!
Why Tsunami?
Well, Tsunami is the one who started it all. His love for catnip was apparent from the beginning and he inspired us to grow on a larger scale. If our catnip could bring such joy to one cat, imagine being able to share it with potentially hundreds more! For us, the name Tsunami brings to mind a big wave of success, as well as a big (positive) impact on others.
Tsunami Catnip started in 2012. Our family has always grown catnip for the pleasure of our own cats, but it was in 2012 that we started to grow larger quantities and process it into the amazing dried product it has become today. We initially shared with family and friends and it didn’t take long for them to request more and to recommend our catnip to others. The overwhelmingly positive response and feedback from customers since then tells us we’re doing it right! Our next goal is to expand to reach a broader range of customers, allowing us to give more lucky felines access to what we believe will be the best ‘nip they’ve ever tried.
